Milwaukee is looking good after one day.  Pittsburgh has two games against Milwaukee and two games against Houston (plus two against Cincy, one each against Mutts and Cards).  Toughest games for Brewers are STL and LAD.  Toughest games for Astros are just the Cards.  If Pittsburgh takes care of business then we will need Houston to fall to St. Louis, Milwaukee, and Chicago.

Two days in...

Buccos are 8-0 in our games and Astros are also losing to Brewers.  Tiebreakers favor Houston, so Stros will need to stumble against another team.

Pirates up to 690 points, but the Astros have 595 which is enough to beat the Brewers and the rest of their opponents.  My hopes rest with Houston faltering badly.

I am considering my options.  It has been a lot of fun but very frustrating for sure.  Funny thing is that I built the Pirates into a winner while the real Pirates have finally turned into a winner (probably no playoffs either).  My system in these leagues differs than most as I focus on a core group of young MLB players, trade away the farm, cycle a few veteran stars, and add a bunch of rentals.  Say what you want but it has worked to a degree.  The FGM Buccos will be competitive in 2013 once again.  If I have the opportunity, I would like to rebuild another franchise after four years of work with the Pirates.

You can always take over the Angels and get beat up by OAK/TEX 50 times a year

That Angels team wasn't too bad when I had them in 2009. Had a TON of over 30 veterans though.

When I took the Nationals, all hell broke loose with that team, unfortunately.
