:WAS: (60-36) - went 7-1 last week and chasing down Philly
:HOU: (57-39) - went 7-1 last week keeps them in driver seat
:ATL: (56-40) - went 7-1 last week, 1 GB from WC
:CIN: (54-42) - managed 5-3 winning week
:PIT: (52-44) - only loss was to Astros last week, one of four wildcard contenders to go 7-1
:MIL: (49-47) - played .500 ball but this team is due for a monster 2nd half

Tough week for Mets who lost 7 games and now have a worse record than the Cubs... they are off the NL wildcard watch list for now

I played the AL East mostly last week...does this mean all the AL teams got whupped on by the NL teams last week?

Really impressive showing by my Cubbies (8-0 last weeks and 18-6 over the last three weeks) and could be even better considering there were a few really close losses in there (I'm looking at you Jake). I don't have any illusions about what my team is so I am not even talking about a run at the WC, but I did want to give my team some props for playing well over the last month. Which means they'll go into a tailspin and go 0-8 this week.

The Phils offense is on life support right now.  Really missing Konerko, Victorino, and Zobrist.  Hoping Rizzo comes up tomorrow and adds some life!  :koolaid:

1)  Los Angeles Dodgers  (74-21) - Having a bad couple of weeks by Dodger standards. Injuries have worn out their pitching staff.
2)  St. Louis Cardinals  (75-21) - Another week, same old Birds.
3)  Texas Rangers  (72-24) - Regained their bearings and are back to rolling.
4)  Cleveland Indians  (68-28) - This team is loaded when everything clicks.
5)  Oakland Athletics  (63 -33) - I don't think they have lost in a month. Will the real Colby Rasmus please stand up, please stand up.
6)  Philadelphia Phillies  (71-25) - All hopes ride on Rizzo.
7)  Boston Red Sox  (67-29) - BoSox are going through a rough patch, but no one in the East has taken advantage.
8)  New York Yankees  (55-41) - I thought they would have walked away with the division. Key injuries have left them in a hole.
9)  Chicago White Sox  (64-32) - Team continues to perform.
10)  Kansas City Royals  (60-36) - Has a lot of underperforming bats at the moment and Wright is coming back to earth.
11)  Houston Astros  (57-39) - Beltre is on fire.
12)  Pittsburgh Pirates  (52-44) - For this team to win out Youk needs to find the fountain of youth on the South Side. Gio and McDonald make for an impressive 1-1A.
13)  Washington Nationals  (60-36) - Jake has gotten the most out of everyone on his roster. Aaron Hill's 3 year slump seems to be over.
14)  Atlanta Braves  (56-40) - Followed up two dreadful weeks, with two awesome ones, putting them back in the WC race.
15)  Milwaukee Brewers  (48-48) - Making a mad dash for the WC. Utley coming back, can Hosmer turn it around and turn this team into it's former dominating form.
16)  Colorado Rockies  (30-66) - I just don't get this team or the year they are suffering through. 2013 world series Rockies at Rays. Talent, injured or not, keeps them here.
17)  Tampa Bay Rays  (45-51) - Jones added to a very potent 2013 line up, may still make noise in 2012 if Longoria can hold his peanut brittle hamstring together.
18)  New York Mets  (41-54) - Beltran continues to irk me as he could have done this for the real life Mets, but chose not to because his labia was swollen. Harper, Prince, and Freeman give Corey something to dream on.
19)  Chicago Cubs  (42-54) - The bats have gotten insanely hot led by ubertout Mike Trout
20)  Seattle Mariners  (44-52) - Tough couple of weeks has turned them into sellers.
21)  Minnesota Twins  (38-58) - The overhaul continues.
22)  San Francisco Giants  (33-63) - Tough couple of weeks. Team will be built around Montero, and that's a good thing.
23)  Toronto Blue Jays  (34-62) - Have some interesting pieces to build upon for next season.
24)  Detroit Tigers  (30-66) - Has built a decent minor league system. I believe he is regretting the Scutaro trade as Kila is back in AAA.
25)  Arizona Diamondbacks  (33-63) - Tied for second in the NL West
26)  Miami Marlins  (28-69) - The future of this team will rely on several players returning to former glory. Lind and Young will need to produce.
27)  San Diego Padres  (18-78) - I'm looking forward to their draft to see if they can supplement Baez and Soler.
28)  Los Angeles Angels  (27-70) - Showing some form of life, but will need to get production from future FA signings, as a few of their 2012 signing have back fired.
29)  Baltimore Orioles  (1-95) - an ace is born in Chris Sale
30)  Cincinnati Reds  (54-42) - Hopefully Belt's third trip through Cincy will be the lucky one.

Big risers this week are Texas, Oakland, and Cleveland. All three have been dominating, and have loaded rosters. Big fallers are NYY, Philly, and Bos. All 3 are going through cold spells. They are, however, still all elite teams in this league and should not take their slide in the rankings as a slight.

Haha, you ranked your Reds last.  Playoff contending teams has been trimmed down to about 17-18 clubs.
