Let's look at the current playoff positions...

National League
:STL: St. Louis (75-21)
:LAD: Los Angeles (74-22)
:PHI: Philadelphia (71-25)
:WAS: Washington (60-36)
:HOU: Houston (57-39)

If the Nats beat the Stros in the NL WC match then the Cards would play the Nats and the Dodgers and Phillies would play each other in the NLDS.  Otherwise, the Cards would play the Phillies and the Dodgers would host the Astros.

American League
:TEX: Texas (74-24)
:CLE: Cleveland (68-28)
:BOS: Boston (67-29)
:CHW: Chicago (64-32)
:OAK: Oakland (63-33)

If the A's beat the White Sox in the NL WC match then the Rangers would host the Red Sox and the Indians would play the A's in the NLDS.  Otherwise, the Rangers would play the White Sox and Indians would host the Red Sox.

If this occurred then I predict an NLCS of St. Louis versus Philly and an ALCS of Boston vs. Oakland.

My Pirates edged the White Sox by 30 points to steal that 3-game series.  Back to the NL WC update.

:WAS: (67-37) - 14-2 past two weeks
:HOU: (63-41) - 13-3 past two weeks
:CIN: (60-44) - I assume their missing game is a win since they scored 1400 pts
:PIT: (59-45) - 14-2 over past two weeks with losses to Houston, Cincy
:ATL: (59-45) - went 3-5 last week to continue up/down trend
:MIL: (55-49) - Watch out

Dominance Update: The Dodgers :LAD: have a 44 game lead in the NL West.... embarrassing for the rest of the division as L.A. is 39-1 in the NL West

Best 2nd place divisional team is :OAK: Oakland (71-33) which is 9 GB from Texas.

I promise you my :COL: team will give LA a run for their money next year to much injury to the team and not a steady Gm for team until now.

NL WC Update

:WAS: (73-39) - 20-4 past three weeks
:HOU: (69-43) - 19-5 past three weeks
:ATL: (67-45) - Back up with 8-0 week!
:PIT: (65-47) - 20-4 over past three weeks
:CIN: (61-50) - Needs to make up a game but fell hard last week
:MIL: (60-52) - About to leap past Cincy

Also, some great divisional races in the AL shaping up...

Reds have been in a steady decline for a month now...we are not looking forward to the rest of the season.

Reasons for decline...

1. Hamilton can't hold onto a bat. If throwing your bat into the stand was a category he would be leading the league by a long shot.
2. Bruce Bochy feels that Brandon Belt should be an every other day player. It vexes me how this man keeps his job.
3. Ichiro had 2 hits last week. 2 singles mind you. Kalish did nothing upon his call up, and is now back in AAA.
4. We could have a better record if Ike Davis was aware that the season started in April and not June.
5. Wasting at bats on Jason Giambi is like wasting at bats on Jeremy Giambi.
6. Chris Denorfia outscored my whole team.
7. Matt Cain turned out to be just Curt Henning and not his alter ego.
8. Lucas Duda has done his best impersonation of the T-Rex from Toy Story, as he ogres around the OF and batters box trying to be scary. Try hitting for some power you goon.
9. Nick Hagadone. Found out that not only to major leaguers hit weak stuff, but so do walls.
10. Tyson Ross. Thank god your parents had another pitcher, because you my friend are not one.

6 weeks of the regular season left
3 weeks until the trade deadline

Does your team have what it takes to make the playoffs?

NL WC Update
Short week hurt my Pirates who somehow move up in the WC ranks.  Past month of play has opened the door for Milwaukee but separated Houston and Washington from the pack.

:WAS: (78-42) - 25-7 past four weeks
:HOU: (74-46) - 24-8 past four weeks
:PIT: (67-53) - 22-10 past four weeks
:ATL: (67-53) - Most up and down team ever
:CIN: (66-54) - Holding off Milwaukee
:MIL: (63-57) - About to leap past Cincy
