I'm in Steeler country, You want to talk about a gamble, try telling someone the Penguins are #1 instead of the Pittsburgh Steelers. My wife, thank God, loves hockey as much as I do!

I don't like in the rules that nobody can place bets on any game that their own team(s) are involved in. Why can't we bet that our team will win that week?? I can see saying we can't bet for our team to lose but we should be able to bet that we will win. This seems silly that we are being forced to gamble then being told that we can't bet on certain games

I have thought about it, but thought i would be more simple to say no betting at all on our own teams. There are plenty of other games to place bets on. This could change so we will see.

This site and all the leagues I've joined, only 3 my wife knows of is a huge addiction, lolol.....Now yeah I agree with Jesse, this would be even more addiciting cause gambling is a hole other thing, but I do like it, and I personally don't think it would affect me worse than what im doing now, lol, so lets bet....problem is tho, I agree we should be able to bet on our team to win, I know there lots to bet on, but im gonna your ass's next year and want to fun bucks!!

Gambling is defined as to stake or risk money, or anything of value, on the outcome of something involving chance. I feel like this is how a gambling addiction starts you start playing with "fake" money and it only gets worse from here. I don't mind having this here for those who want to participate but I don't think we should have prizes if you win, unless the prize is like a small picture of a trophy on your team page or how we have the awards already, put something like sportsbook champ 2012

Sorry Jesse, but I disagree with your point here about this leading to an addiction to gambling. I do however see your point on prizes forcing people to play because not everyone would what to.
