  • sandman: Grienke would be 15:$23M, 16:$24M, 17:$23M, 18:$24M
    Today at 01:57:04 PM
  • sandman: Kershaw 15:$30M, 16:$32M, 17:$33M, 18:$33M, 19:$32M, 20:$33M
    Today at 01:57:29 PM
  • OUDAN: Gonna make it interesting
  • OUDAN: First league here like that, That I know of
    Today at 01:58:14 PM
  • Brent: We need to get away from doing escalating contracts.  Real life baseball doesn't have a cap so they can do that, we have a cap so it does not make sense.  We should go with averaged salary across life of contract to include option years.
  • OUDAN: I actually see your point there Brent
    Today at 01:59:02 PM
  • sandman: Brent responded. Escalating contracts are excellent
    Today at 01:59:34 PM
  • sandman: Given the fact that you can see every single player
    Today at 01:59:53 PM
  • sandman: Pretty dang sweet man
  • sandman: We so the same thing in LOR
  • sandman: I see jpsprague lurking who will he take?  Any ideas....
  • Brent: Not sweet at all.  We have a cap.  Real life baseball teams don't have a cap.  So, we can have a salary of $300M in 2020?  Is that going to be allowed?
  • Brent: Yeah, and it is dumb there too.
  • sandman: No you can't go over man
  • kylerap: Headley to the Yankees- RL trade
    Today at 02:03:36 PM
  • Brent: Okay, I might rethink whether or not I will do BLB.
  • Brent: Y'all are putting a $125M salary cap on contracts that are designed for an uncapped league.  There is some logic missing here.
  • kylerap: I do see his point ^
  • sandman: Thats your call bro. If you can't see your cap 5 yrs in advance when its on the screen and adjust I cant help you there man
    Today at 02:07:18 PM
  • sandman: Its no different than any other league that starts out
    Today at 02:07:34 PM
  • Vollmernator: Sand how will the cap go up each year
    Today at 02:08:29 PM
  • sandman: Except some contracts escalate. Either don't pick that player or pick him. You still see his contract all the way out
    Today at 02:08:33 PM
  • Brent: Yes it is different.  NBA and NFL both have salary caps.
  • sandman: NBA goes over the cap all the time
    Today at 02:09:13 PM
  • sandman: Nets and Heat were 30m over the cap when LOR started
    Today at 02:09:33 PM
  • Brent: It's not Vollmeter.  We have a $125M cap.  so you can get maybe 2 good players b/c if you have more than that their escalated contracts in year 3-5 will put any team over $125M.
  • Vollmernator: Just worried I won't have enough in the future for my players
    Today at 02:09:48 PM
  • sandman: Your just over thinking it man. Try it first before you diss it
    Today at 02:09:58 PM
  • sandman: Brent that is so incorrect. Did you know some players contracts go down?
  • sandman: Did you know that some are flat deals
    Today at 02:10:30 PM
  • sandman: Did you know that 65% of MLB players contracts are within 3% of the year before
    Today at 02:10:48 PM
  • Brent: Yeah and so were the Heat in NBA Futures and Colby actually made the Heat have a lower cap b/c of that.  3 players contracts equalled $60M and the cap was $60M.  I know a thing or two about dealing with those cards as I won the league last year.
  • sandman: This is my 3rd league like this, I guarantee you it works bro
    Today at 02:11:31 PM
  • Brent: Don't get defensive bro when I called you out on the flawed logic of the league.
  • Vollmernator: I was only planning on get 2 really good pricy players
    Today at 02:11:37 PM
  • sandman: Have some faith
  • Brent: It's all good.  I'll win this league.  I ain't worried.
  • sandman: wow! flawed logic.
  • Vollmernator: I was thinking about getting some mid tier guys
