This year you can place bets on all the weekly match-ups. This will be play money of course, but will be a lot of fun. We will see who has the most "Backyard bucks" at the end of the year. Hope to see all you guys take part. Hope to have all the details up later this summer.
To increase activity on this there will also be awards towards free agents and extensions.
I don't see how this is fair. We shouldn't be put at a disadvantage if we don't want to gamble. Gambling is an addiction that could cause negative effects in our personal life. I know that I would prefer if it was just a choice if we wanted to do this not be put at a disadvantage if we don't.
Ya but no one would care to do it if there was no advantage to it in the league. We want it to be part of the league. It won't be much of an advantage maybe 5% off our something, nothing major but something to work towards. It is also fake money so no harm no foul. Also I think Fantasy Hockey is an addiction that could negatively affect our personal lives but we all still do it. It is still a choice to participate in this as if you don't participate maybe everyone will loss all their Backyard Bucks and you will win. It is to add a new element to their league.
