That is humbling, thank you.  It is really if the Bruins play bad, I will most likely lose.  I live in Maine and watch two hockey teams with passion, the Boston Bruins and the UMaine Black Bears.   I knew what was going on within the Boston organization when they brought Julien and Neely into the mix.  I saw a focus on talent in the minors that transitions into the NHL supported by veterans.  I know Julien's system is solid.  It is no fluke the NHL Bruins are doing so well.  So, while everyone else was playing a cup and ball game moving players around, I watched my team flower into a gem.  Players have been moved, IRL, such as B Wheeler, and I have a few free agent transactions over the summer.  That helped when the Bruins have a bad day or they dont play.  Tukka and Thomas is unfair!

To beat me the NHL Bruins need to play very badly or not enough!  It is possible though.  140 points this week, 1276 points on the year but my team was off the first few weeks.

Just wondering what the Big Bad Bruins record is? As I am in the West and actually have no clue what is even going on in the East.
Currently the Wild are 1st in the west with a 11-2 with 1387.75 pts for and 930.85 against

Drew's Minnesota team is pretty ridiculous. They;ve got 3 starting goalies and pretty much all the best players from Anaheim (Jonas Hiller, Getzlaf, Perry) for - from  what I can tell - Mikko Koivu.

I talked with the Anahiem GM and he told me when he took the team over they had no goalie and the team was in shambles... whoever made that deal screwed the Ducks for years to come, but gave another team a crazy advantage.

And yes, these are the ramblings of someone who is insanely jealous!

Here is the trade, it was disputed for a long time until it was passed. Basically it was my top players in Havlat, Koivu, Schultz (who was my top dman at the time), Garon for Getzlaf, Perry, Fowler, Hiller. It was definitely one-sided in my favour but it was offered to me.

Even though Getzlaf, Fowler, and Hiller haven't been the top players at each position for me this season.
Top center has been Tavares
Top LW is Burrows
Top RW is Perry
Top D man is Karlsson (who I received in a steal of a trade, http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=18185.msg87375#msg87375)
Top G is Anderson

Not to say I haven't been railed in a trade or two in my days here. Here are a few:
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=11840.msg49549#msg49549
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=15192.msg68188#msg68188 <-- didn't get railed here but gave up JVR (who I really like) and took on way too much salary
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=25145.msg128907#msg128907 <-- basically gave Ott away and he is having a good year
http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=12862.msg52849#msg52849 <-- don't like it at all anymore

I would say the Wild were easily the most active team last year and made trades out the ying yang to improve their team, some were good trades some weren't great but in the end the good out weighed the bad.

Talking about the current state of Anaheim, is that they should have went hard hard after a starting goalie in free agency instead of signing the likes of:
Dustin Byfuglien, $9.0m (2015-2016)
Nicolay Zherdev, $5.0m (2013-2014)

I don't blame Drew for the Anaheim trade, I blame the trade committee.  This trade was a disgrace from the beginning.  Every member of the TC questioned the deal but still approved it.  Of course Drew wanted it to go through, why wouldn't he?  It was a great deal by him.  It helped him win last year and pretty much destroyed another franchise from competing for years.  Sometimes the job of the TC is not to make sure someone is cheating but to make sure that what is best for the league is done.  I'm still mad about my first Taylor Hall trade being vetoed.  I wound up giving more and I got ripped off hard.  Its just the way it goes.  Kudos to Drew for robbing another franchise blind.  If it was offered to me I would have taken it too.  Hopefully its a learning lesson for the TC.
