Hard to win with no G and certainty hard to trade for one without having one to offer back. I make my move here and the risk is significant. Glass was one of my top players in the draft and essentialyl our whole draft. Kid has sky high upside in Vegas. Sikura was a under the radar kid who we nabbed last year and had no plans other than wait for his time in Chicago. He is excelling in College as we speak. 2 others are quality depth players, with Jaros having a high upside to boot. Tough call, but I built up the minors to be able to make a deal like this and Glass was only available for a decent G. Raanta has some risk for sure, as he hasn't looked great in a few starts...... but we like him because he is cheap and should at least get a 50/50 split. Either way, whatever he gets is addition to what we already had. Hard to win  with a 20 point handicap in every match-up. GL to the jets and thanks for the easy negotiations.

However like I stated before, the Jets are poised to be the #1 pick but they've traded it away. Glass will be 2 years in the minors and the other guys are nothing special imo. Hell I'm not sold on Glass to be honest.

I think the Oilers made out great in this trade and I've got no idea what the Jets are doing. They are currently the worst team in FNHL & it will be interesting to watch them going forward. The GM always know what they want to do.

I agree with Daddy that this is a huge win for the Oilers. I'm not sure of Peg's gameplan either, but I'm also probably higher on the return than Daddy. Maybe this isn't that great a deal if Arizona doesn't figure things out, and hopefully Raanta doesn't get hurt again.

I don't think Raanta is going to be anything more than a career backup. Sometimes it's better to sell early before everyone else catches on. If Glass is someone you're high on by all means grab him. I recall making a few deals last year that were criticized but all those critics are silent today.

Yes, I stated a lot of risk for me. The contract, fact I had no current NHL G, and I feel set at C long term made me take the risk on him. Jets have a great duo in Glass and Suzuki now. 2 of the better offensive talents in entire draft. Halo, I doubted people were doubting your trades, as you clearly killed it in a lot of them. I think it was the other way around.

I think Glass is going to be good, I can see him in Chicago AHL next year. On Trades.......I think everyone makes questionable moves. Personally I would like to see the trade commentary go away, I can say I don't care what your opinion is on who won or who lost. My team my vison. If its a yes vote for a trade nuff said. If its a veto then I would like to see why you veto the trade. Yes the Oilers needed a Goalie, my Coyotes are working with band aids but the answer is there.

Raanta has a great chance to cash in on golden opp in Zona but he's acting like a newbie tending net for the 1st time. Good timing for both teams.
