Edmonton agrees here. The pick is actually 35 overall, as SJ lost tiebreaker and LV got thrown in there

For my team, pretty easy to understand what is going on. I move some good specs with potential to help out real soon for a player I like. With hank finishing up his 7 year contract in Edmonton, we prepare for the loss of this generational player with the additition of a power forward fresh off a breakout. We give a very nice package to make it happen. Milano was a trade acquisition we made a few years ago, as part of my rebuild. With no surprise, it was Detroit who traded him to me, after using a high pick to get him. 3 specs + a high 2nd to get Pearson was a price, but with the depth of prospects here it was one the Oilers could afford. With the recent addition of Gaudreau (24) and this addition (25) I like the potential at LW going forward in the land of oil.

I've always been high on Milano and really like Hintz. I almost got into a bidding war over Rutta, I'm expecting he gets a long look at a top 6 D role in Chicago and hopefully helps strengthen my defense. I was initially asking for Edmonton's 1st, but moving down to this high second at #35 netted me extra pieces and I think added value.

It was really tough giving up Pearson, but hopefully new FA acquisition Mr. Golden Knight Ship, makes up for that.
