Caps make a Trade. It feels like forever since we made a move, and that is partly because I was hoping they would be competitive. With a crappy G, there is no real chance here. I didn't want to part with Rantanen, as I am a big fan of finnish players. It really is the gold age for finnish players in the NHL. With the offseason addition of Toffoli, Caps had a surplus of RW. Add on to that, my last trade was to add another young, high end RW in Nichushkin.
Here we add another RW in Nylander, who should also be available at LW? but his natural position is RW for us. I'll take the small downgrade from Rantanen and add Karlsson for the additional picks. This is a trade that benefits both parties. Good Luck in the Pacific.
