Line-up Changes

Jesse brought this up to me, that we could change our line-ups in different ways.
Our 3 options are:
1. Line-ups have to be set before the 1st game of the day.
2. Line-ups have to be set before the players game.
3. Specific time set each day.

I say no to the 3rd and I am in favour of the 1st. What are everyone else's thoughts?

I am in for the second as goalies are not announced until late afternoon on the west coast and it makes it difficult when their are games at 8 or 9 in the morning. I think the second option will make the league more competitive because we will be able to sub the game time decision players out if they are not playing. I also think it helps the people on the west coast that work nights and can't be up before 9 am

I personally like the second option, I can deal with the first one, but I don't like the fact that just because a couple teams have an afternoon game that I am unable to change anything on my roster.

Especially when it comes to changing goalies (as Jesse stated) and if I don't have any players on those two teams why shouldn't I still be able to mess with my roster a bit?

Second option looks good but will everyone get a chance to make these moves throughout the day. Some people work days, nights,weekdays, or weekends. So the only problem with the second option is not everybody gets the same opportunity to adjust rosters before a game. It is a tough decision.  #2 is more realistic but #1 is more fair because we all have the same deadline to adjust our rosters. I hope people understand what I'm saying and it is only an option.

With option 2 everybody has the same deadline and that is before the game starts. Like you said Tony everybody works different times so option 2 let's you update your roster if you forgot to set them before work and all around gives us more flexibility. I think it will make the match ups closer I know once this year I had a goalie in that was a probable starter and it turned out he didn't start and another goalie did and because of the early game I couldn't change it

What if you had to work from 2pm to 10pm and had no access to a computer. How would you make changes? Is it fair that the other teams can make late changes and you can't because you were working? I'm just thinking about others that would have this problem. It would not be a big deal for you or me because we could access a computer or phone almost anytime. Let's see what others think. I could go either way but my opinion it has to be fair for everyone.

But if you work 5pm to 5am on the west coast do u think its fair that he would have to set his rosters today for tomorrows games I don't think that it is fair

Nost NHL game start at 4pm in the west so you could get your roster made up before going to work. Everyone else has to have them done by the same time. Nobody would get an advantage. Anyways I would love to see us switch to the second option( it is more realistic) but we will see what Drew and the others think.

Honestly makes no difference to me - everyone is gonna have problems setting their line ups because of work anyway, even if you have access to the internet. It just makes no difference to me.

Although I missed out on a couple game plays because of early set roster, option 1 does seem more fair
