I think everyone will be very aware of the rule and if they are using the rule obviously they had to read it. If they fail to make space they will know the consequences.

Yes as long as roster and cap space allow. Crosby can therefore have players up to 8.7m to cover so 8 players could be signed or brought up on 1m contracts as long you have roster space for 8 players or 9 players even could be brought in at 1m contracts but your team would be responsible for the 0.3m over his salary value immediately.

Up free, down through waivers. As long as you post that you want them to replace an IR player.

Sounds good, just to make sure when sending players down you don't have to worry about teams claiming them for half off right?  Either way I will probably be getting a few two-way players to fill the spots so I can send guys up and down freely but I just wanted to make sure.

Due to work I missed much of the conversation, but from what I've read it seems like everything has come together. The new IR Rule Drew proposed is very good and easy to follow
