I can see the NL Wildcard being very crowded at year's end with two of the Rockies/Dodgers/Giants + the Braves + Reds/Cards/Pirates.

This 0-2 hole is not good... so much for my power offense.  Werth has been banged up.  V-Mart and the Red Sox have been sucking.  Butler has yet to turn any heads and Carlos Lee is off to his usual slow start.  I expect this team to pick it up in May and June.

I'm pretty sure this is the O's ceiling this year with many veterans expected to leave in the next three months.

:OAK: vs. :PHI: is the obvious matchup of the week.

I foresee a lot of movement in next weeks power rankings...Pirates/Reds/Indians have all greatly improved their teams for this year with trades and call ups in the past week. Baltimore has gotten better for the long haul. Jaime Garcia is a manchild for St. Louis, and Andre Ethier/ Casey McGehee are hitting the snot out of the ball for the ChiSox. Not to mention CJ Wilson/ Colby Lewis look like the real deal in Texas, and Elvis Andrus is a future stud. And down in Tampa David Price and Wade Davis are looking like future aces. It is starting to get interesting.

  • Daddy: Those CCD guys thats been dominating thanks in large part to taking advantage of outdated rules like cash exchanges. Idk how good any of them dudes are. No offense.
  • Daddy: If the cap is $100m and im spending $98m and you spending $150m because guys who quit are paying your contracts... Sorry, you aint bettr'n me.

  • Daddy: Why we all need Wimby??
  • Daddy: I traded for Steph Curry 4 years ago in CCD. They vetoed it because my dad was the partner GM. Same guys vetoed it all made offers on Curry. I never got the player i negotiated in good faith.

  • OUDAN: Clearly he is the best starting place and Brent knows what he is doing but we will see what happens
    Today at 05:07:12 PM
  • Daddy: Then... The same vetoing GMs made trades exceeding the salary cap. All that was legal. You should be kicking my ass in CCD.
  • Daddy: Wont be those kinda shenanigans. So basketball guys have gotten shy. They in too many leagues all a sudden  .

  • jmntl82: I broke @Daddy, someone get Nurse Bubbles
    Today at 06:07:25 PM
  • Interpaga: @Daddy just some clarifications. I wasn't really after Wembanyama in NBA LIVE, I was just interested in the Spurs. Brent knows this, I would have taken them even without Wemby
    Today at 06:14:15 PM
  • Interpaga: And in CCD, we took over the Spurs when they were one of the worst teams with salaries sky-high. We ended year 1 with total actual salaries lower than when we started, and had a record of 69-3. Your 76ers were 53-19 that same year
    Today at 06:16:43 PM
  • Interpaga: I am not a better GM than you, not at all. But for 4 years in a row in CCD, Spurs had a better record than the Sixers, and I'm not sure a 10% salary difference is enough to justify a constant 20-win gap
    Today at 06:18:40 PM
  • Daddy: My phone was in my pocket and i was mowing the lawn
  • Daddy: I didn't make any excuses in CCD. I dont want it written off that i had Ben Simmons starting instead of Steph Curry at PG. We have no idea how that would have impacted my performance or future moves.
  • Daddy: My opinion no matter what justifications anyone presents is that salary manipulation and poor design made the playing field imbalanced from the beginning.
  • Daddy: All the rule changes since then, many in line with LIVE practices, is more of a testament to that than anything i could say.
  • Daddy: One of the greatest basketball minds in dynasty in the world left our league in year 3. Sighting it was impossible to have League balance after the advantages of paid contracts and vetoes were distributed.
  • Daddy: We can go back n forth about it but if nothing was broken yall wouldn't be changing rules and such after the fact.
  • Daddy: Im specifically calling out each and every last one of you in CCD especially. Answer the bell or let it ring. Just dont piss on my forehead and tell me its raining.
  • Daddy: I know the difference between water and piss.
  • Daddy: GMs vetoing trades then offering trades for that same guy is and will always be cheating to me.
  • Daddy: Salary cap manipulation is and will always be unfair/cheating to me.
  • Daddy: Thats why it was allowed to begin with. I know because i was there when "Corey" wrote all that bullCrap into his rules. Then... Like i said. Everyone copied it.
  • Daddy: Why would you allow cash exchange in fantasy sports where people quit nonstop especially after doing them? Why would you have a trade committee of 7 for 2 vetoes to kill a deal? A committee made up 100% of the guys you trying to beat.
  • Daddy: Because you need it. To manipulate your outcome. There is no other reason.
  • Daddy: And people unassumingly copied that thinking it was the way. It is not the way.
  • Daddy: Well. Did you come here because you love basketball or have you stayed because you enjoy advantages? Thats where im at.
  • Daddy: If yall love basketball... Then what da problem is (insert eyes emoji)
  • Daddy: Take my team. It dont really matter who i take. ;)
  • Interpaga: I didn't actually want to start a discussion about CCD. We've made significant changes and a lot of improvements recently and are very confident that any potential distortions from past rules will correct themselves quickly
    Today at 06:49:22 PM
  • Daddy: I dont want to discuss CCD either. Im discussing competition.
  • Daddy: How did Doc Holiday say it? "Im your huckleberry... That's just my game."
