Trade between Ottawa and Florida

The new (are we still considered new?) Ottawa Senators management strike another deal our 6th in one month.

We take our rebuilding roadshow to sunny South Florida where we reload on RW and Defense. We trade Dion at what we feel is his peak value this season and add a proven veteran Defenseman in Dan Boyle, moved a potential concussion problem in Latendresse. I really like Orlov's ceiling as he has the potential to quarterback Washington's high-scroing teams, while Samson is bursting to get a crack at the NHL level. Painful parting with Zack but I've got a package I like coming to Ottawa.

florida confirms!

sens wanted to get their hands on boyle + orlov and the best way to do that was get a dman to replace danny, like dion for starters. after that it was checking off wishlist items. i'd like to think i won this trade by getting players that can help my team now and i don't think latendresse is as big a concussion liability as he is a general injury risk like dipietro and tim connolly ... i'm done rebuilding this cats organization. it's time to win some hardware.
