Has the extension prices been increased in the past at the same percentage of the increases in cap space?

i've been in the league since July of 2011... and no, the extensions have remained the same since ive been here and from what i reviewed in old posts, was the original set of values per position.

they would merit updating every 3-5 yrs to reflect some adjustments in the overall NHL salary structure.

did you have any thoughts on this matter?

They should be updated as cap increases and as players, IRL, get higher and higher contract values.

Lets just use the rule from FGM?  "You may not bid on a player that you have released for a period of 30 days.  If you resign a player, their original contract is restored."

Perfect and simple to read

This helps with accuracy on Fantrax and there is no benefit to the team for having done this.  A team should be able to use a player who hasn't played forty NHL games because we don't have waivers like the NHL.  A simple way to accomplish this is just to put them on fantrax.

If a team has a player who isn't called up by the big league club (IRL) then they score no points for fantrax anyways.

If they are called up then a team is free to use them without cumbersome waivers.

If they are called up and a team doesn't use them we lose nothing.

come on now pigs you should know by now I always have thoughts, ha ha.

I was just looking at the current system of things with the cap having increased year by year with no increase to the extensions its made the extensions outdated.  Look at this years crop of free agents the highest quality free agents really came from GM's that were not at their post or non active GM's and had I realized the current system of things you wouldnt have seen many of my FA's out their either.

Short story , by not increasing extension costs with the cap, the decision to extend players is too easy. They are almost always cheaper to extend rather than attempt to sign them via FA.  If the league ever gets 30 FT dedicated GMS your FA Freenzy will look more like a FA fizzle.

Seems to me both of these guys should be free agents but I can't find out one way or another....and they are currently on rosters in fantrax.  I just don't know where the bids for them were.  I searched both names and got nothing for extensions, or trades, or signings.  please help if you know.

Ruslan Fedotenko, $0.2m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012

Jarret Stoll, $3.6m (2011-2012) - Contract Expires 8/4/2012

Agreed.  And I don't know, but is the real NHL cap at 70.3?  Is there a reason it went that high?  If we use the real cap figures we can keep extensions in line with real life extensions.  Refer to FGM.

Many other leagues are putting the players on fantrax but not on their respective teams. Instead they are put on divisional minor league teams to keep them out of the available players list. I am still against having them on the teams as it is cap circumvention having a player without a contract playing on your team. A player like RNH could have played most of last season without a contract and be putting up points for his team, it is unrealistic.

Thanks, like I said I tried to find it but couldn't, and then the free agent list reflects him being available.
