good catch for Fedotenko, joeshmoe. he was mistakenly uploaded to fantrax roster on fantrax.

stoll should've shown up on a search as a recently signed FA Center.

i'll post a note in the transactions pg to advise all of the Fedotenko correction.

thread to be moved to FNHL Questions thread.

current extension values are not an absolute must to overhaul or update in this league.

in light possible cap rollback and salary decreases as part of the current CBA negotiations in the NHL, rushing to suddenly raise them only means someone will have to rush to decrease them shortly thereafter.

With lots of GM's having concern on prospects .

agreed

Quote
i think the best way would be that every player drafted should get a  2-way contract  right away .

ex : Nail Yakupov, $3.0m (EL 2014-15) 2-way
and if the player do not play 1 game in the NHL during his contract the GM can renew it for another 3 years or release him .

this way if a GM is daily active he will be rewarded by being able to use him ( 24 hrs notice ) and if not daily active he will lose some points ... plus if one GM quits without noticing then the next GM that will get the team will still have those player.

thoughts , comments ... etc..

thanks

hockeyfreak47

This could help with the problem but it creates an administrative nightmare:

- Admin would have to do updates constantly.  With cap numbers changing like this, it would be quite the work to enforce penalties.

- Prospects can be called up and sent back all within 24 hours IRL, and if a team brought someone up then didn't get to use them, then sent them back...it's quite inefficient.

-It does protect teams from being 'fished out' by the constantly aware profsl-pros.  I.e. teams would know exactly when the contract was up, at the end of the year.  This wouldn't allow other teams to 'fish'

-this is better than the current system

since pigs already paid for a premium league on fantrax we could add all teams minor league players with what their salaries would be if they were called up and with a set cap along with automatic rules that would prevent teams from bumping guys to the minors that wouldnt need to be there.

That way you could let guys actively use their minors as they see fit instead of always posting to the board.

Guys would still need to post the permanent call up to prosfl to keep things cleaned up.

If you decide to go with that i would be willing to help with the setup.  I have a league that we are currently setup that way.

Dumb it down for me, haha .  Fantrax monitors salary?

yup, you can setup minor league and major league with the same cap as what we have on prosfl.  then assign each player the same salary as prosfl.  you set the minor leaguers to not count against the cap but the pro roster does.  then you set the minor league limits to max 40 nhl games.

so it would automatically not allow people to play their minor league players if they went over cap.

Interesting, and so these players would have two way contracts that expire after two years?  I like it!

yeah it would basically expire them as soon as they hit their 40 games , you can have it set to either make the teams roster invalid as soon as they hit the 40 or that they can stay on the minors but the next time they are moved to the MLR they couldnt be moved back down.
