Vancouver makes this deal, as it opens up abit of cap space for 2020 when a few players in my roster will need more $ contracts (McAvoy, Gourde, Bowey) plus certain prospects i expect to get ELC's.
Plus add 2 defenders to weakest part of my roster, while gaining another 1st Rounder.

Carolina confirms:

I'm trying to go in a different direction with this team. Greene was essentially a cap dump so the deal is basically edmundson a first for a dynamic second line type forward and another guy with some potential.

I didn't really want to trade edmundson but ill be aggressive at the deadline looking for a replacement if the season goes well.
