Chicago management agrees to a trade with the Florida Panthers.

Florida's trade offer seems to benefit our minor league roster even if the prospects come with a little risk as Pokka and Gudlevskis are both in Europe while Laberge just had hip surgery this week (never a good sign for a player who's main asset is speed).  Ultimately if even one of the trio plays a regular shift in the NHL, we will be well rewarded. Florida to confirm.

Cats need to make some cuts. Gudlevskis fell off the Bolts and NYI depth charts, Pokka bolted to europe and hip surgery for a 21yo is likely going to slow Laberge's development so I'd rather get a 2nd rounder and roll the dice again on a new prospect.

Blackhawks will make out like bandits IF any of those 3 prospects get playing time in the NHL which looks rather unlikely at this point in time.

Pokka is only signed to a 1yr deal with KHL Osmak. The other 2 might be goners.

Whether it's a draft pick or some over done prospects, this deal's like Vegas - lots of gambling.

  I think Pokka is the prospect that will break through for us.

Pokka is NHL ready but KHL might offer him more money when he's up for renewal in the Spring.
