Looking to trade my picks and add some young skilled players.

Traded to Pens
C - Nick Spaling, $2.4m (2013-2014)
LW - Rostislav Olesz, $3.1m (2013-2014)
D - T. J. Brennan, $0.2m (2012-2013)
MiLR: LW - John McFarland, N/C, (0 Games)
Round 3 - 2012 (FLO) ... 2012 picks can be dealt since the 2011 Amateur draft got underway

Traded to Cats
C - Vladimir Sobotka, $1.4m (2012-2013)
MiLR: RW - Ben Hanowski, N/C, (0 Games)
Round 3 - 2011 (PIT via PHX from NJ) 1/30
Round 3 - 2011 (DAL) 24/30
Round 3 - 2011 (PIT) 29/30
Round 4 - 2011 (PIT) 29/30

I'm trading my late draft picks which I might not be able to use as my Minor league system is close to full. I'm set at C already so can afford to deal Sobotka for decent and affordable contracts of skilled players. Olesz should bust out as a new member of the Blackhawks. I also needed a LW in my Minor league system and asked for McFarland, a high skill guy who I hope will put it all together in a couple of years. I agreed to eat Spaling's contract but he might see lots of action now that Lombardi has been dealt to Toronto.

happy with this trade and moved Spaling's contract while adding lots of picks to trade or finish stocking our minor league roster. lw prospect mcfarland will be real good one day but with nino, maclean ready to get promoted, mcginn, kunitz + michalek playing lw for us, we could move olesz who'll have a monster yr with the hawks. it only took 4 days to nail the final details of this trade. lol good work jack!  :thumbsup:

4 days, 8 hrs and 32mins. haha  :rofl: Kidding!

The key for us was adding Olesz who should be Top 6 in Chicago as well as McFarland who will burst onto the scene in 2013.  :win:
