Benn helped cap off the last perfect season this league will ever see, back in 2014-15 with the LA Kings. He is back in the Pacific (Also drafted by SJ Sharks). Both Tarasenko and Benn cost about the same, long term. Should be interesting to see what else Chicago has in its plans with the extra cap they create right now

I like Benn more solely based on the physical style, which is what this league values.

Hawks confirm! Flames and Hawks exchanged calls late December after we got asked about moving Benn. After recently working out a deal to ship MacKinnon to NYR, we felt we could help our team with this trade to deal Jamie. Tarasenko will cost a ton to resign but Jamie's cap hit wasn't cheap so we can live with that. We knew Ennis is a low-cost-high-risk player to add because of his injury history so we asked for him to be included to fill a need with depth at Center.

There's always a risk of messing with your team too much after it's been firing on all cylinders, all season long but this should help my Hawks a little. Put another way, it shouldn't hurt us on our current path to winning the Championship. LOL

Being a Dallas fan since their move from Minnesota I can say Benn has been a sense of pride for us since he first put on that Big D jersey and stepped on the ice.
