can someone pt me to that clause so i can get up to speed... thought i read just about everything including the duplicate contract posts in 2 different threads. haha

i m not the commish but i tried bid on a player that did not play any NHL games and that was the reply i got:

A player that has not been drafted but that is draft eligable can't be signed untill our draft is complete. If a player is not drafted then you can sign him as a free agent and add him directly to your MLR.

my understanding is a prospect that has been NHL drafted but sits in this league's free agent pool can be signed just like a regular FA player such as Ilya Bryzgalov... though not likely for the $15M Bryzgalov's gonna get.

To me this means any player drafted this year can not be signed as an fa until after the draft. Players that have been drafted in previous years would be eligible because they were not drafted in the rookie draft for this league.

that was my understanding as well, shooter47

this winnipeg (former atlanta) goalie was NHL drafted in 2010 so he should be eligible as a FA pickup.

my player  Orlov was drafted in 2009 and he was not eligable to bid on until our draft will be done
