Coyotes and Canucks reach a Deal

Coyote management is pleased to anounce the following trade with the Canucks.

To Vancouver

G Kevin Poulin $1.4m (2014-2016)

To Arizona

D Christian Folin $0.4 (2014-2017)
C Jayce Hawryluk 2014 2/32
3rd round 78th
4th round 96th

This is a move that helps both clubs. Vancouver adds a goalie and Arizona adds some much needed depth. Thanks Tarheel for a smooth transa transaction. There will be no further comment for it cuts into my PBR time.

Trying to add Goalies to help my club,hate to lose hawryluk and Folin but to get a goalie is hard to do.Hope Poulin can help me out.

Personally I think this is a terrible deal for Vancouver. There is a better than even chance the Islanders part ways with Poulin this summer. Moreover,  either one of those picks could have been used to pick up an NCAA prospect that would likely be ahead on the depth chart even if he does get another contract.

The more I look at this the worse it gets. As much as I like how it improves Arizona it's nothing but detrimental to Vancouver. Normally I rubber-stamp everything as I feel it's the right of all GM's to make their own choices. But on this I must disapprove.

Tarheels is a veteran FNHL owner having been here as the Canadiens in a previous incarnation as a league owner. This is not Blkhwkfn's 1st deal now nor is it Tar's so I am OK with how they want to run their team. Value is subjective Slack.

Even the Avs - Nucks 'MAF/Svedberg' deal was one of those deals based on potential. Where is Svedberg now. If only we could predict the future.

I highly doubt Williams is going to take over as the Islanders TG since he got beat out of a starting job at Minnesota State by a freshmen. Plus a lot of those articles are speculative more than factual.
