Personally I think this is a terrible deal for Vancouver. There is a better than even chance the Islanders part ways with Poulin this summer. Moreover, either one of those picks could have been used to pick up an NCAA prospect that would likely be ahead on the depth chart even if he does get another contract. The more I look at this the worse it gets. As much as I like how it improves Arizona it's nothing but detrimental to Vancouver. Normally I rubber-stamp everything as I feel it's the right of all GM's to make their own choices. But on this I must disapprove.
