Svedberg is the real deal and like Kuhdobin before him, he will get his chance in time. Duchene of course is elite and of superstar caliber. Again, another young player on the cusp. Sending along Aittokallio helps with goal tending depth and is a nice little add to the Colorado goalie pipeline as Vancouver already has Spencer Martin.

The return is stellar. Fleury has some good years ahead of him and has just signed a new multi-year extension in Pittsburgh so he is money in the bank. Grigorenko may or may not be a bust but with him and the 2nd I get a little bit of youth coming back in the trade that helps offset Fleury's age.

Losing your top Goalie is never a good thing but getting a superstar like Duchene is quite the pickup and he is in his prime.As Slackjack said all in good time for Svedberg and Aittokallio is going to be paired with Martin for the future.Overall I like the trade and may find something in FA on the Goalie side.

This hurts Vancouver until they find a way to replace Marc-Andre Fleury. If Canucks feel this trade is part of their future then go for it.

Easily a steal for the Avs here getting a top starter, a former top pick in Grigorenko and a 2nd pk. Duchene is stud material but comes with a big cap hit and is not scoring as much this yr. Svedberg is only good if Rask gets hurt or lots of days off which ain't happening anytime soon. Fun watching Slack rebuild.
