We wanted to sell some current and next year picks to get 2016 picks, since we have a ton of picks between 2014 and 2015 combined so far.
Also add another goalie that will get games next year and beyond.

Slowly going to try to turn this team into more of an NHL based roster rather than an AHL/Junior based roster!

Elliott is going to get starts next year, and it looks like St. Louis isn't signing Ryan Miller anytime soon.

Cally is getting the best player in the deal, AND getting a 1st rounder???

I don't really value Elliott that highly.

I questioned it at first thinking that Gilly wasnt aware of the Ryan Miller not signing so he was bambozzelled a bit, but in the end Gilly is a big boy and I dont see how this deal cripples either team from competing.

I agree with Rob and I see Elliot splitting starts at best, no matter what the goalie situation looks like now. 2.5m is not what you pay a bonafide starter these days
