Obviously there would be no trading between each owned team.

Is it possible for a GM on fantrax to have access to 2 teams?

Really I would ensure a competitive line up is both set as well as small trades to improve the club.

If fantrax only allows one team I could create a 2nd fantrax account.

There is no intention of any collusion here just trying to get this league going a bit.

From what I've seen in the past in this league the other owners don't like one owner holding several teams. Owners told the commish to only set the lineup, keep key players signed and basic additions from free agency and to avoid trades after one deal ended up with an owner checking out.

Guess we'll see what Pigs and Freak say.

Well this league needs a lot of work and it starts with the GM's in this league. There are a few active ones but some serious dead weight kicking around. There are way to many orphaned teams as well. This needs to change ASAP.

If any GM has an issue with me trying to help a 2nd team speak up.

Let's get these teams filled or contract.

I agree - proactive it good in such as large league.
however we currently have no guidelines in place for a league owner to assume management of another team.
also, as owners have commented in the past one person's vision might not be another's.

per note above, if we went with allowing owners to help manage a 2nd team other than their primary ... we'd have to vote to allow that ... since that what ppl expect.

at the same time we need a set of guidelines (ie. a traded player from a secondary team cannot find it's way to the owner's primary team without appearing on the roster of X number of teams prior / perhaps can never be traded to the owner's primary team, etc.).

let's hear it... if you guys want to allow an owner to manage a 2nd team, voice you opinion PRO / CON, and why!

I'm good either way.
Sounds like a good thing until someone shoots their eye out.

TC is there to review collusion and ensure fair return in trades.
Commish is there to check the team isn't being dismantled and sold off.
We should ensure lineups set daily the way its been so far.

As the last owner of the Jersey Devils I'd say I know best the direction of that team so if an owner is needed to manage them I'm up for it!

Other random thoughts
Players on the second team can't end up on the first team during the season.
Maybe tag 5 untouchables on each league owned team so they keep their identity and can't be dealt.
None of the teams should be taken apart and rebuilt (no throwing in the towel on the season).
Anyone adopting a second team can't abandon them for any reason like we see throughout this site.

I think it can get real sticky. But might be worth a try.

It was just last year we decided  the league owned teams should be left intact as much as possible. Meaning no trading. Let the league add some players with smaller contracts and re-sign key pending Free Agents.

Reviving this discussion so soon makes some guys think there are too many changes taking place when that's not the case.
