I'm coming strong with the TRUTH!

This league has not really been that fun, there are way to many open teams we need to make some positive changes.

Please list all the orphaned teams below......we need to get these teams filled.

I also want to see every team listed that is playing for the $ prize this year.

I'm going to help fix this!

I think the purpose of controlling ownership and introducing team fees was to pay to having 30 teams on one Fantrax site and ensure serious owners joined. That has led to teams being available but they have been competitive and a number of them are in the play-off hunt as we type.

and might also be up for sale but that's up to Pigs and Hockeyfreak47.


I'd be up for purchasing a 2nd team if when the co-commish agree to this. There's nothing I like more than rebuilding a franchise that's headed in the wrong direction and turning it into a contender. Thanks for sucking me back into this fantasy stuff PR!    I'll add to DD's list of guidelines and say the owner can't own teams in the same conference.

Also, whether it's $20 or $10 to pick up a 2nd team, the owner should be able to re-sell their 2nd team at their preferred price. If we build up a franchise and it's more successful than when we bought it why shouldn't we make some profit on the sale of that franchise! Who's with me on that???

Ripper the activity level of owners in the past was higher but the deals being tossed around left a number of teams looking like the real life Islanders under Milbury's care! A bunch of teams were without a starting goalie or even a soon to be promoted goalie of the future!

As far as buying another team I'm down with that. When can we shop for another franchise Pigs,Freak,Pigs,Freak,Pigs? And what's the pricetag?

The avail teams holding down a playoff spot look pretty good. Now it's a matter of to fine tune or scrap n rebuild from the ground up?

I agree with only having one team in one conference.

I'll take Columbus (I am St.Louis in the West) and start setting line ups immediately if I am given access.

I am not looking to pay this year but rather ensure a competitive team is built for next season.

Ripper, ownership or management of a 2nd team will only be allowed with purchase of the franchise. That ensures commitment.

If you wanted to set line-ups that's already being done and for the FNHL managed teams, I'd say it's been 98% set for all of them. Just about the only thing the FNHL managed teams haven't done is trade but they've picked up Free Agents, Dropped unproductive/inactive players, promoted MiLR players as needed, and extended contracts for key players on the roster.

So do we wait for Hockeyfreak47 to OK this before opening up ownership to existing owners?
Do we need to setup a vote by owners? So far no one has opposed this idea and if we get additional active teams because interested existing owners want to buy another franchise to play or invest in then why the heck wouldn't we want that. 

Like I said, I'm up for guiding another team to the promise land! LOL
Let me know when I can pick another one up.

Does anything ever happen in this league, we've been talking about this for months now. Somebody make it happen. We are approaching the trade deadline and it would increase activity.

Rip, I think Pigs is just proceeding with caution cause the last time rule changes got rushed midseason guys freaked and threw the breaks on. In a 4th yr league things are bound to be way more strategic vs newbie startup leagues or baseball leagues here where trades are flyin round and guys abandoning their teams after a couple o'mths. IMO
