Really?  How am I supposed to make sense of that?  My head hurts just trying to figure it out.

Processing this will take 3 months.

FYI - there is no 2013 cash as 2013 is over

What does it mean that all cash goes through Pittsburgh?  Only cash in the value of the players traded can be made.  I don't have time to figure all that out. I can't even get GMs to understand how to extend someone properly.

Wow so who is new commish?  I might quit honestly.  I am not saying the deal isn't great.  But I don't understand it.

Each team needs to break down there part of the trade including cash and players.  A team can't trade $35m if they aren't trading at least $35m in salary and I don't have time to figure it out. Contracts aren't even laid out in the deal?  Please post contracts.

If you want it to pass I need help.  I am not figuring it out. You sell it to me and I will process. But until it's clear I can't do it. It's only fair that the contracts and cash moving is layed out in a clear manor.

Plus I need a assurance of cap hits so no one is over.

Great deal but needs to be clearer.

Thanks

Lando

I totally spaced putting the contracts in to show how the deal works.  I will fix it.  Totally my fault.  I will try to have it posted tomorrow.  By the way the cash is for next year 2014 not 2013.

The contracts are updated.

It says the players go through Pittsburg but the cash would need to go through them as well.

As far as cap goes, Oakland and Miami should have at least $6M in cap space even with adding in arbitration.  St. Louis, Philadelphia and Pittsburg have plenty to spare.

Totally retarded.

Processing this will take until 2014 for sure.

Who wants to be commish?  I might have to seriously give it up.

I'll make my vote once I find a few hours in my day to sit down and analyze the deal.

That's definitely the most detailed "trade" I've ever seen. I guess if you all think it's fair with all of that which is going on there, not sure I can veto anything.

The only one it's not fair too for sure is the Commish. Seems like every other transaction might have to be put on hold just to process this one.

This trade needs it's OWN spreadsheet. LOL1

:PIT: gives:
Andrew McCutchen (1 year remaining)
Neil Walker (3 years remaining)
Pedro Alverez (3 years remaining)
John Buck (2 years remaining at $6M/year
cash $16M

:PIT: gets:
Christian Yelich
1st rounder (3)
2nd rounder (2)
3rd rounder (3)
5th rounder (3)
A bunch of international cash

Hidden in the complexity of this deal, it appears as though :PIT: is in a hardcore rebuilding mode.

I am an outside, but this trade seems lopsided for some teams. Why in the world would you trade one of the best players in the league for some picks that will take years to develop?
