What an incredible twist. Many were surprised that Ship was taken in the supp draft, only for SJ to parlay him into a 2nd round Entry pick and a promising young d-man. Master moves by SJ.
NJ is trying to fix their cap situation and rebuild in their image from the bottom up. In the upcoming season they'll be able to acquire Ship in FA and do a proper 1 year buyout so there isn't dead cap hanging on the roster for years (like I advised when trading Ship away, glad I didn't get saddled with that debt)
