RE-DRAFT - 2011 FNHL DRAFT: Sept 15, 2018

[PigsRule]

These teams are next
12. :CAR-NHL: Carolina
13. :PIT-NHL: Pittsburgh from Washington
14. :OTT: Ottawa via Edmonton via Philidelphia
15. :BOS-NHL: Boston
16. :CHI-NHL: Chicago

:PIT-NHL: OTC

[mcrow]

The Pens will not take Pittsburgh from Washington - Jonas Brodin

And will instead take Sean Couturier (who I believe is still available)

[EndGame]

14. :OTT: Ottawa via Edmonton via Philidelphia - Stefan Noesen

We still like Noesen but just not in the 1st round.
This time around, with the 14th overall pick Ottawa selects Center - Mika Zibanejad who was taken 6th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. That's good value right there! :toast:

15. :BOS-NHL: OTC

Re-Draft List updated. Currently at Pick #15 Rd1. :judge:

[jackdaniels]

#15 :BOS-NHL: takes Ondrej Palat who went undrafted in FNHL and was only taken in the 7th rd 208th overall. I would love a team of Palats.

[dickiedunn]

16. :CHI-NHL: Chicago - Jamie Oleksiak 2011, the 2018-19 edition of the Blackhawks will select Andrew Shaw who was drafted 139th overall (Round 5) by the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks.

:TBL: OTC at #17

Looks like neither Palat nor Shaw got drafted in FNHL. Wow! Guess 2011 FNHL scouting departments had tight budgets.

Quite the surprise today! Back in 2011, a 5'10 Andrew Shaw didn't register well on the radars of most scouts. He did grow another inch since. Both players play key roles on their respective teams in the NHL.

17. :TBL: Tampa bay- Matt Puempel  OTC in 2018 redraft

[EndGame]

Ottawa Sens can only dream about what might have been if we actually drafted these 2 players back in 2011:

9. :OTT: (from :DAL-NHL:; :WIN:) - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - FNHL 1/1; NHL 1/1 (Ryan Murphy)
14. :OTT: Ottawa via Edmonton via Philidelphia - Mika Zibanejad - FNHL 1/7; NHL 1/6 (Stefan Noesen)

RNH and Zibanejad would be anchoring our FWD lines nightly and we'd be that much closer to a Championship. But that's OK, we're making progress since I took over and that's what counts now.

17. :TBL: Tampa bay- Matt Puempel  OTC in 2018 redraft

:TBL: still OTC
