Here is one that I think will make the league 10times easier to navigate and give more value to your prospects. 

Why not allow your prospects to be played while they are still prospects during their 40 game allowance. 

Lets face it a stud prospect might score 50pts - 60pts  in a full nhl season and most you are lucky to get a point every other game.  We can only play these guys for 40 games how much of a competitive advantage is it going to give someone?  Besides it will 1) make it much easier to search available players 2) it will more closely mimic the NHL's 2 way contracts.

We are also using weekly line ups how often are you going to choose to play that rookie over a starting player unless you are injury riddled.

this was discussed last season wrt whether we should allow MiLR players to remain on fantrax and it was decided that it gave an advantage to some teams that owned an active MiLR.

personally, if we were to make this rule change and it would target an effective date of 2013-14, then everyone has a chance to adjust their MiLR development strategy to compete in that area.

of course, i do like the fact you have to work a little using the search function to scan FNHL rosters to determine if a prospect's truly available and as i see this as an advanced league vs a starter league (even though it's free)... it's a small amount of work effort to dig up prospect gems.

i could see a competitive advantage if we did daily lineups but using a weekly it would be pretty minimal.

I understand the advanced side, but you know me, I dont believe advanced means it has to be difficult.

The first year we were allowed to use prospects for 40 games. Last year Tony and a few other clowns changed the rule. The only thing that stinks is keeping spare salary space in case you need to promote one of your own players.

We use daily line ups here in Franchise.

Doesn't matter to me either way. Playing devils advocate, if the advantage is so minimal then why bother revising the rule.

Also, if we have access to our MiLR on Fantrax it would help filter out prospects that are owned versus ones that are free agents but that's just saving a half step while prospect hunting. I was were you are last year when I took over the Sens and it wasn't a big deal having to use search since I was targeting my search for specific guys and not scouring the prospect universe.

Yes we use daily line-ups.

Simply make a minor league master list like I have done in Backyard.

WOW... nice catch snugerud. if i recall from digging back thru the league's old posts, FNHL hasnt been weekly line-ups since middle of yr 1 / 2010-11... that Rules pg wasn't touched since Feb 24, 2011.

i've updated  that clause to reflex daily line-ups which is what fantrax states and what we used last season / 2011-12.
