Toronto and Edmonton make deal

Toronto Gets

Bryan Little, $2.4m (2012-13)
Joel Ward, $1.5m (2012-13)
Jared Spurgeon, $0.3m (2012-13)
Raphael Diaz, $1.0m (2012-13)

Edmonton gets
Travis Hamonic, $0.9m (2012-13)
Patrick Elias, $3.0m (2012-13)
DAL-NHL: 3rd

I get something for an older vet who still has some left. Little has a lot of upside. It's tough giving up harmy but I like spurgeon a lot too. Diaz gives some nice depth.

Get Elias who I think next season will do better Little next season, I hope ;) Hamonic should produce around similar to more points which is great and the reason why I did this deal. Send Ward who has a cap dump in a previous deal and was a cap dump in this deal. Diaz was in my minors and I will try draft one or sign one in FA. Also pick up another pick to build up my minor league which is pretty empty now.

I do not like this deal... drew is not only getting the best forward and defensemen in the deal, he is also get a good cap dump and an additional draft pick. I think that is a high price for depth.and I cannot approve this deal.

Just to let you know it is only 0.3m in cap space freed up as Diaz is in the minors.
