I do this to get the games best reliever (he gets a lot of points) a young OF, and Aviles who has proven he can hit the ball. I also get younger in this deal by getting rid of 3 guys over 30. Yanks will agree to it tomorrow AM.

Broxton is the best reliever (sorry Rivera) out there but the additional $25m in 2011 and 2012 is a lot of money.  I retain similar quality at my reserve MI spot and pick up a better utility/reserve-CI in Helton who is a monster i this scoring format.

Trade is fair for the reason that Dan mentioned.  He moved aging, expensive players.

I agree with Oakland completely. The trade is fair however Dan is dumping a lot of "old money."

Broxton is a beast, but Helton deserves his own respect too.  To think that the Yankees have him as their "DH" through next year is ridiculous.
