Angels job open
« Reply #1 on: March 18, 2010, 03:38:18 PM »
If anyone knows someone who may want this position then please let me know.  Jake, the previous Angels GM, has decided to take on the Nationals job opening.  To prevent other existing GMs from jumping in on this opportunity, I am decided that this should go public.  He has built the franchise into a long-time competitor by overhauling its farm.

Hey colby, tumbaranchos, who is the last one to add himself to the waiting list is my cousin. I'm sure he would love to take over this team.

A reference does a lot for a person.  I believe Kris :SF: and Rob :OAK: were referred in by Dan.  Jake brought in the original GM of :SEA: (failed), and I knew the original GMs of :NYY: (active), :PHI: (active), :WAS: (failed), :NYM: (failed), and :BOS: (failed).  At the end of the day, it takes a certain interest and will to go on a board and read information rather than just go to a league page and find the players with the best stats.  I will certainly consider your cousin for the Angels job.  I will be giving it through the weekend.

What's going on here?  I would love to have this team.  I am surprised no one else wants it.

I would love to take on this team.... Mike (bridgestone) told me about this spot.  I have a few teams at MLFB already... been trying to focus on a few redraft leagues and a franchise league like this.  I was in the Dynasty Elite, but it was a bit unorganized early on, and I didn't like the flat cap.  I wouldn't be able to get my Yankees in this, but the Angels big market would work.  Please consider me for the job! :toast:

Considering you are already an active member on the forum, I am inclined to give you the job.  :toth:

PM or post your full name and Fantrax ID... If you have any questions, feel free to post them here on the board.  After reading through the rules, make sure you post a depth chart (you can just copy this one from Jake!) and a trade block if you like.  Free agency has pretty much cooled down for now, but you may be able to jump in on some bids for reserve major leaguers, prospects, and some remaining catchers.
