2 Years at $600k
Jumbos contract was $2m, I believe so would need 1m per year min
That contract was signed after I opened bidding. At the time he had no contract on hockey buzz.
The way we have run it in the past is if they don't have a contract at the time of signing then they can be signed to any deal. I have voided bids before once a contract has been signed. The way the rule is written as well says they must receive half of their real life contract, doesn't state anything of based when bidding is open. But ultimately this would be up to Ian though to rule on.
Yeah maybe a bit of a grey area. In the past any bid that was invalid would have been remarked upon at the time and voided while in progress. Whatever Ian rules is fine with me but you can clearly see my intent with the initial bid for Joe starting and accepted at the $500k league minimum.
Definitely a grey area, but I'm along the same lines of what Drew has said. Jumbo was signed soon after the thread, so I thought about invaliding it. But then Drew bid the minimum salary and I figured that he knew that $1m would be the new minimum. Also, just a side note. we're using Capfriendly for salaries, not Hockeybuzz.I think his minimum salary should be $1m, so St. Louis can have him for 2 years at $1m, 1 year at $1.2m, or decide that he's not worth either of those contracts and Jumbo will just go back in the FA pool.
