Took a gamble on Schneider when I moved Crawofrd (who was also a gamble at the time) and while Schneider can still turn things around I am ready to move on and given his performance/cap saving I am happy with this package. I like Pu's upside in particular and hopefully he can become a top 6 forward. This deal also make sense since since I acquired Khudobin so needed to move another goalie.

I do the trade to gain another goalie with Vasilevskiy on IR. I like Rubstov and Pu with their potential however I am willing to take a chance on Schneider this season

If this trade is approved send down DeSmith for roster spot - then recall for IR replacement for Vasilevskiy

So a 1st and a 4th was moved in the Khudobin deal but here a 4th plus 2 prospects. Seems like more could have been gotten for a NHL level goalie who is currently on an off-year.

For example Price isn't playing great but his track record doesn't been I sell him off completely. Schneider has been a top 20 goalie other than last year where he got hurt.

I'll let others chime in but doesn't seem like enough to me.

Vik has been here long enough to know that value of goalies....even bad ones. I see nothing wrong here.
