2018 2nd Round Draft Pick, colorado

colorado Receives:
G Darcy Kuemper, $1.1m (2018-2019)
2018 1st Round Draft Pick, Nashville

pretty straight forward.  Isles move up a couple picks in the 1st round and get a late 2nd for Kuemper.

Kuemper is my handcuff to Raanta. Like Linus I enjoy a security blanket when it comes to goalies.

Im shaking up my goalies, getting Pekka alowes me to trade Kuemper get the extra pick and move up a little in the first round.

Nothing spectacular here, it doesn't seem like too high of a cost to move up a couple picks and gain an extra for the Islanders and the Avs get their handcuff. Kuemper is an ok backup, but for this season, Rinne should make up for the Islanders trading away both Dell and Kuemper. Given how active the draft pick market is, a subtle move like this could be quite impactful.
