Canucks do this trade to gain that of a 25yr old dman who i believe will get back into Colorado bottom pairing and helps my D, plus safely puts me over the Minimum cap space.

Canes should be at 56.6m after the Buffalo deal. Currently at 59.9m after the Marleau deal. This trade would cause Carolina to be at 52.6m or 1.4m below the cap floor.

A move by the Canes is needed.
