Flyers - Canucks Trade

3 years from now this deal will hurt my team I agree. But from all the research I can gather, Bulin is starting next year, which in my mind makes this a win for me as far as right now is concerned. My team has the cap room to acquire another C. Goalies are the hardest thing to come by.

Just a lil more insight to my thoughts on the deal.

interesting to see a football guy making this deal and how objective he is about moving kesler. at the end of the day, corey is right about equal value being exhanged in that he would be adding a starting goalie and some throw in players in return for his centre. i am sure if it was a high scoring but no-name fwd like cal clutterbuck, this deal would go thru smoothly.

on paper it is good value for a low priced starting goalie.

the subjective stuff is clouding judgement and it shouldnt... sure bulin might get hurt like usual, or start 55games and be a steal... kesler might rack up stud pts again, or regress after his surgery...

I think its the fact Khabibulin has not been a good goalie for 2 or 3 years, but I just looked at the numbers and Kesler was 215 last year and Habby was 192 so it is pretty close. I guess its a lot easier for bad goalies to rack up fantasy points than bad players

Don't love it but I will  Team getting Kesler is winning but if Khabby gets some starts it will be close.
