Organization Selection Thread
« on: July 02, 2011, 08:32:50 PM »
Select your team by posting your choice in this thread as a reply. The order of selection can be found on this thread: http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=21878.0

Please read the League Constitution carefully before selecting your team. If there are any questions at all regarding the constitution, please bring them up immediately on the forum.

In order to give people time to get acquainted with the rules, we are not imposing a time limit on selections for now. However, if a GM is on the clock and has not responded to any contact by the Commissioner's Office in three days, a team will automatically be chosen for him or her (best available team based on the 2010 final standings).

Keep in mind that the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees are already over the salary cap of $125M, so be wary if choosing them. The Yankees are over by $38M and the Red Sox by $7M, even after removing the salaries of players who will be leaving due to free agency.

The rosters and salaries are here: http://www.profsl.com/smf/index.php?topic=22560.0. I will update the spreadsheet with the contract information from the PDF file when I have the time, but it will not be any information that is not already available in league.

I will unlock this thread on Tuesday July 5th, so GM's can start choosing their organizations (I am not starting selection now so people take the time to read the rules).

Good luck and let's have some fun!

I am a HUGE Bravos fan and I WANT to pick them, but since I have first pick here, I have decided to go a different direction and pick my favorite AL Team- the Boston Red Sox.

Alex (alevan) just left the league yesterday. Rick (Bama) moves up to #2 is next to select their team.

I already have some people interested in joining the league. That person will pick #28 (everybody else moves up one position as well).

Wow, you got lucky there, Rick!

Michael (VolsRaysBucs) is up. Is it going to be the obvious choice or will you surprise us as well?

Only east coast teams taken so far. My "8" ball says a midwest team gets taken next.

Paul, you're up.

I've already got the Braves in 2 leagues in here as well as some other leagues outside of PROFSL. I have never had 1st pick in a league or the Red Sox in a league as their my favorite AL team.

  • Daddy: Just know, if you miss time at any point of the year, not just the active season. You have missed a lot. You've probably fallen behind your competition. Ten-Fifteen guys in all three of those leagues dont ever miss any opportunities.

  • Daddy: One more thing. The NFL LIVE waiting list is longer than you see on profsl or fantrax. There are people that know people that want in that league. No pressure on anyone but i cant just hold your franchise while you draft and do nothing else.
