1) Effective immediately I am transferring full ownership of the Carolina Hurricanes to  favo_zomg. I brought the man in as an asset to this league and I couldn't be happier with his effort and commitment. As of now I have no formal connection to the franchise and I will rest assured that it in the most capable of hands. Good luck Walt! Thank you for everything! 

2) Now with the change of ownership on the board we have agreed on the following trade.

C - Ryan Spooner (2010: 2/45 - 27 Games)

Round 4 - 2015
Colby Robak, $1.0m (2014-2017-EL)

This is more than Favo was asking and similar to the same package I have offered around to a few other GM's. Robak has a future I think but he is more of a cap dump for me. The rest is fair and straight forward. Thanks for the easy deals Favo....I guess I just really wanted to squeeze in a couple more before the deadline!

2. We accept the trade. Spooner has a lot of promise, but the package we are receiving is more then generous. A late first in this draft has a lot of value, and Robak has some potential that we could wait to see.

It was certainly a lot to pay for Spooner but if that's your welcome gift to the Franchise NHL Owners Cirlce to Favo, so be it. Not detrimental to your and not lopsided in harmful way to or the league.

I wanted it to be clear that I wasn't getting the benefit of the trade because I had gifted ownership of the team. So...yes it's an over-payment but it was done consciously.
