Keep it simple; forget about the age stuff. I say we keep the retirement rule of giving them half of what they are worth per year, kept track in the buy out category. Sure, age plays a big role in this game. But for our purposes, it would just be easier to keep it simple and leave it off.

For the entirety of our league. I think taxing a player for their age will only add an unnecessary worry that could potentially lead to some players not getting played in our league. Its bad enough older players are not as welcomed because people are worried about them retiring, taxing our teams because they are older would make it less likely that the support guys will not get signed (despite the fact that they are decent players).

I agree with the retirement rule, but I do not agree with taxing older players.

Ya definitely nothing to do with age as we only have 4 year max contracts as well. I would say for the current year they retire not their whole contract what are peoples thoughts on that?
