Lightning & Islanders Trade #2
« on: August 14, 2014, 03:08:06 AM »
:TBL: sends
1st rd pick :TBL:

:NYI: sends
G - Kevin Poulin, $3.4m (2012-2015)
G - Anthony Stolarz (2012: 2/45 - 0 Games)
D - Dillon Heatherington (2013: 2/50 - 0 Games)

:TBL: Had its draft when we traded for JVR, Nichushkin, Calvert, & Forsberg, we are plumb ripe with diaper dandies, like Stamkos, Hedman, Wennberg, Campbell, you get the point ;)

We knew all along we prefer Stolarz to Madsen in the Philly farm, and Poulin may lose the backup job, but he is young and talented, and will be very cheap to resign if he stays in the AHL, but also worth having if he is the new backup.

The #6 pick is just one guy, most likely a solid winger, but who knows. I got wingers. I need these guys.

This is my last deal for awhile. I need sleep.
Thanks Johnny! Enjoy the draft and good luck mate!

:NYI: to confirm

:NYI: confirm

Poulin was a deadweight in my Isles, so removing his contract makes me more than happy. Losing a couple of specs is collateral damage, however with the 6th overall pick I may be able to get a NHL ready winger.

Thank you once again Daddy!  :toast:

Busy busy! Bolts get the nod on this deal. But it really depends what Isles do with that high draft pick. 5th or 6th right.

Tampa is the only team to make so many trades involving Goaltenders. It is quite remarkable really. Daddy has the goalie's touch. Do you like masks Daddy! lol

Good trade for both teams. It is a healthy return for a Round 1 (6th Overall) Draft pick considering the talent in the top 10-12 slots this year.

Its really not an easy thing to move Goalies around in fantasy hockey since they are the meat and potatoes of scoring.
For me it is a matter of preference. Campbell/Stolarz are young guys we really really like. Niemi/Stolack/Poulin are each separated by 3 years, there is talent in that group.
Top FNHL Teams have almost a 5yr head start, i didnt take over a championship team, or they wouldnt have been available.

Im gonna build a title contender 1 brick at a time. TC sometimes vote on todays value, i trade with an eye on tomorrow. How others approach FNHL is they business. These boys in FNHL aint slouching. This is an ALL STAR cast of GMs.
2nd place is slang for first loser.

Lol Loving Daddy's 1-liners.
You're right about TC in Franchise NHL. Most guys here know their hockey cold. Gets tough to trade at times because owners know past, present, future and risk factors involved in a trade from every which way. That's why some teams are regular trade partners because we get to know that guy's style.

Back to this trade. :iatp:

Stolarz (and Heatherington) is good value. Poulin might still see time in the NHL if Chad Johnson or even Halak miss a few games.

Advantage :TBL: here.
But I agree with JD, all depends on what Johnny picks up with the 6th overall draft pick.

Good trade. I prefer the 6th overall pk myself and clearing 3.4m in cap. :NYI: did well here.
