Actually, FGM set the standard at $500K increments before the other leagues existed. The rules were written in 2009.

That's one way of looking at it.  The other way is FGM is based off of many legacy rules which new leagues have moved on from.  I'm sure there was a reason to have the 500K increment contracts and I'd be willing to be that reason is not the case now.

You're preaching to the choir about a review of the rules. Personally, I don't see that it is necessary to change this one but if it comes up...
