In the minor leagues, top prospects waiting for a call up include Mark Visentin, Miikka Salomaki, Seth Griffith, and Ty Rattie. The Devils have a reasonable amount of cap to work with in the range of $7m - $15m in 2014-15.

* Another perennial contender, the last owner helped elevate this franchise to elite status as a regular season powerhouse but the competition is much stiffer during the post-season and the team bowed out of the Play-offs in Round 1 this year. This is a very well balanced team with the challenge of maintaining the roster given their tight cap situation. However, the off-season will see the Isls unlock approximately 6.0m in buy-out cap space and receive an additional 5-7m when the 2014-15 salary cap is made official. This is a franchise that should be a serious competitor for the next few seasons.
