confirms this deal.  Well I have been shopping Mason, and hate to lose him, but I think he has reached the height of his value.  He may continue to put up good numbers, but he just doesn't fit in my plans this year.  In return I take on two very risky goalies.  Neither have a real high ceiling, but I think both will continue to get some starts.  The 1st rounder helps with the risk, but shouldn't be too high of a pick.  Again, I HATE losing Mason, but I just have to do it in the position I'm in.  Thanks nelly for the deal!

I like this deal for both sides like this. Don't see the need for Calgary to take on Klein's $1.5m to even out the cash. Better IMO to give him some cap savings on the 2 for 1 goalie exchange. Namisz and Paterson are fluff and the 1st Rounder (which could very well be 1st over-all) is excessive and simply unnecessary. Quite a Coup if it goes through!

What are to you talking  about? The deal wouldn't go through without Klein in the deal. I don't have the cap. Everyone ripped Dubnyk when Bryz was signed. Now he is worth a ton? I like Peters but imo he is a career backup

I am talking about my opinion. Something that I am uniquely qualified to do! IMO Klein in or out of the deal is besides the point. The 1st Round pick is too much for Calgary to pay on top of everything else for Steve Mason. IMO.

Not saying you sont have an opinion or that it doesn't matter. I'm just saying I dont really feel that you looked at the deal because the one you posted doesn't even work with the cap. And no chance Calgarys pick is number 1 overall. Most likely 4 to 6

My opinion, in fact, does not matter. I'm not on the trade committee.

I think this is a sweet deal for for sure but a starting goalie is a tough gig in this league and at this point Mason has that honor.

Sorry it took so long to get on but there was a missunderstamding between me and noray mostly my fault wanted it to be a 2nd round instead of a first as dybnick is a starting goalie and edm future not a backup like most think my understanding was a starter a great back in peters and a 2nd rounder for a upgraded starter and Klein for cap. Me and norrya are still talking maby fine tune the deal what works for both of us
