I gave up a nice guy in Horvat and a decent pick in 2015...however...I got my boy Schroeder, I got Ballard payed for this year and 2m next year and I got Hansen payed for this year as well and at a decent price after that!!

Im hoping for a revive from Ballard with this new team of his, worst case is I have to pay 2.2m next year for his last year, that's it!!

Pretty dang good deal I say!!

We add two 18 year olds who will hopefully make it to the NHL some day and a draft pick in 2 years ... Adding to our youth huge.
Give up youth in Schroeder, but he's already got a couple years pro under his belt including time in the NHL, so he helps Gilly now rather than 2-4 years from now. And since the Nucks didn't re-sign Raymond or Roy, there's room for Schroeder in the lineup.

We were willing to give up the money in this deal based mostly on the fact that it would help the deal along and make Ballard a more suitable pickup for Gilly.
Personally I think he'll do quite well in Minnesota, getting some PP time and playing more than 8-10 minutes per game he was in Vancouver most of the time. Plus he plays Vancouver 6 times so he'll be amped for those games for sure.

Thanks for the re-try Gilly. I'm sure we have tons of deals down the road to accomplish in our many leagues together!
