In this deal we're going to eat 3.8 plus the Miele contract which is another 1.1 for a total of close to 5.0m Florida will be eating in this trade.Eller is younger than Sharp. Both are good players with Lars moving into his prime and Patrick on the back-9 of his career. Sharp's 8.3 cap hit is a huge pain in the a$$ but we want Clendening. Timo might return. but even if he does make be too rusty at age 40 nxt mth to help at a cap hit of 1.5 til 2017. Shipping Cooke off to shed some cap in this trade since he's out for the remainder of the yr.Good back and forth with Dickie. Sens to confirm.
That's the thing with fat contracts. They look good when you sign them then realize you can't trade it easily when the player isn't panning out or you need the cap space to make other moves. Sharp is a good player but he's not getting any younger.
