Hi Pigsrule. How are things? Yes. I understand the scoring system in this league and how goaltenders have a higher value than forwards and defensemen. For this trade I value the 26yo Grubauer (RFA this Summer) over the 36yo Mike Smith (had the Flames in a playoff spot then lost it or put another way could not help turn it around for them and lost the playoff spot down the stretch). There is also a certain amount of calculated risk involved in this trade as is the case with most transactions of this nature if I'm not mistaken. Thanks again for checking.
I want to ask if Vegas inderstands the value of a starting goalie before approving this given Smith is their main starter. Need to hear from VGK...
