We are taking a big risk by rolling the dice with Laich bouncing back after the Olympic break. We're eating a big salary here but think we're also getting some assets for the future in return. My Cats have enough D to deal so we moved a few to plug a hole at C due to injuries.

If I had to score this I would give the edge to Columbus for shedding 2.6m in cap while picking up a few players having a down year.

I'll agree with you Pigs. LOL
But Diaz might get some decent ice time with the Canucks which is a big difference when compared to his last few weeks in Montreal in the pressbox.

Kindl is my kind of player. He hits. Blocks shots and hits some more. What's not to like. Fedun should get his shot in Edmonton once he gets that last bit of rust worked out of his game. He missed the entire 2011-12 season with a broken leg but man the guy can play.

I also think Columbus wins this deal, but I've never been a Laich fan, so maybe I'm biased

Easily a Win for for trading away underperforming expensive players who are not seeing all that much ice time and gaining $2.6 Million cap. Pokka is a decent prospect. Dwyer is pretty good this year. Visnovsky and Kindl are both productive defensemen that will help the Blue Jackets now and next year.
